Neu: Handbedruckte Kissen aus altem Leinen

New: Hand-printed cushions made from old linen

For me, natural materials have a very special magic because of their feel and appearance - whether paper, wood, clay or textiles made of wool, silk or linen.

After concentrating on artistic work on paper for many years, I had the desire to create with and on other natural materials. The first project, which is available in my online shop today, available are my hand-printed cushions made from old linen.

I combine a natural fiber with a natural motif I designed and carved with linocut tools. In the first limited series of three cushions, it's the sunflower, which is also available as a linocut print on paper (Addendum: the cushions are already sold out. New printed textiles will follow soon).

It's important to me that the pillowcase is 100% handmade—both the sewing and the printing. I deliberately use old linen because it has more character, and the principle of reuse is important to me.

Each pillow is unique and only those currently available in the online shop can be seen. Usually, only small quantities of one type of linen are available, which then make 3-5 pillows. The next series will only come when I find new linen that I like. Other natural motifs and colors are also planned. So, be sure to check my shop from time to time to see if you've found your personal favorite.

By the way, the pillow comes with a Kapog inlay. This is a sustainably sourced, fluffy white natural fiber, also known as vegan down. You can find more information about this here from the manufacturer. If you only want the cover because you already have a 50 x 50 cm inlay, please feel free to contact me. The pillows will then cost €166 instead of €195.
