Handmade wooden bowl for salt and spices - hand-turned from regional wood.

I love cooking and sitting around a big table with family and friends, talking, eating and playing for hours.

For me, this also includes a beautifully and invitingly set table. Ideally, it should be simple and informal, with a few flowers from the garden, plenty of candles, a large carafe of water, and always good salt, chili flakes, or spices for everyone to add to their own seasoning or to enhance their olive oil for dipping freshly baked bread.

These sculptural, tall bowls add a special touch to the table. They are a combination of decorative and functional. Bremen-based wood turner Hergen Böttcher crafts each one individually from local and regional woods, and his meticulous craftsmanship brings out the wood's unique structure.

The shallow, hollowed-out bowls are suitable for dry foods like salt and spices. But they're also pretty and practical on the bedside table for storing rings or a bracelet.

The bowl is approximately 7.5 cm high and has a diameter of approximately 7 cm at the top and approximately 3.5 cm at the bottom of the base.

Each bowl is a unique, handmade piece.

For use in the kitchen and at the table, there are also small salt spoons available in the shop.
