Es sind insgesamt vier neue Karten-Kollektionen entstanden, die ich hier nach und nach vorstelle. Ich starte mit den Golddruck-Karten.
Die botanischen Motive – in diesem Fall zwei verschiedene winterliche Zweige – habe ich mit Tinte auf Papier gezeichnet, anschließend eingescannt und auf Basis dieser Vorlage eine Stempelplatte herstellen lassen. Mit goldener Farbe bedrucke ich anschließend jede Karte individuell und signiere sie auf der Rückseite.
Neben dem Druck per Hand sind auch die Karten selbst etwas Besonderes: Ich reiße sie aus großen Bögen feinstem Hahnemühle-Büttenpapier, was eine wunderbar weiche Haptik und Struktur hat. Nur so entstehen die einzigartigen Büttenränder. Die Karten sind im B6-Format, was etwas größer ist als DIN A6. Es sind übrigens Klappkarten – es ist also innen viel Platz für liebe Zeilen an ebenso liebe Menschen.
I have created a total of four new card collections, which I am presenting here one by one. I’m starting with the gold print cards.
I drew the botanical motifs – in this case two different wintry branches – in ink on paper, then scanned them and had a stamp plate made based on this template. I then printed each card individually with gold ink and signed it on the back.
In addition to printing by hand, the cards themselves are also something special: I tear them from large sheets of the finest Hahnemühle handmade paper, which has a wonderfully soft feel and texture. This is the only way to create the unique deckle edges. The cards are in B6 format, which is slightly larger than DIN A5. Incidentally, they are folded cards – so there is plenty of space inside for lovely lines to equally lovely people.
