Kunstwerke auf Stoff – mit diesen neuen handbedruckten Leinenkissen verbinde ich den Linoldruck mit meiner Liebe für schöne natürliche Textilien. Durch die Größe, die besondere Haptik und das Muster werden sie zu Hinguckern auf dem Sofa und können gut mit unifarbenen Kissen ergänzt werden.
Jeder Kissenbezug ist handgenäht aus altem Leinen. Da es sich um Stoff-Fundstücke handelt, die oft nur für ein paar Kissen reichen, gibt es meist von einer Stoffart nur 2-3 Kissen, bevor ich mich wieder auf die Suche nach neuem alten Leinen mache.
Dieses hier zu sehende Kissen ist aus schwerem ca. 120 Jahre altem Leinen mit toller Struktur, das ich per Hand mit meinem selbst hergestellten Sonnenblumen-Model in einer lindgrünen Textilfarbe bedruckt habe. Es ist ca. 50 x 50 cm groß, mit Hotelverschluss und wird mit einem Kissen-Inlay aus kbA-Baumwolle und einer Füllung aus nachhaltig gewonnenem Kapog (eine flaumige weiße Faser aus dem Kapog-Baum) geliefert.
Jeder Kissenbezug ist komplett handgefertigt und ein Unikat. In meinen Online-Shop sind deshalb auch nur bereits fertige Kissen erhältlich und können nicht vorbestellt werden, da jedes ein bisschen anders aussieht und ich heute noch nicht weiß, wann mir wieder ein schöner Leinenstoff über den Weg läuft. Artwork on fabric – with these new hand-printed linen cushions, I combine linoleum printing with my love for beautiful natural textiles. The size, the special texture and the pattern make them eye-catchers on the sofa and can be complemented well with plain cushions.
Each cushion cover is hand-sewn from old linen. Since they are fabric finds that often only last for a few cushions, there are usually only 2-3 cushions of one type of fabric before I start looking for new old linen again.
This cushion seen here is made of heavy approx. 120 year old linen with an amazing structure, which I printed by hand with my hand-carved printing block in a green textile colour. It measures approx. 50 x 50 cm, with a hotel closure and comes with a pillow inlay made from organic cotton and a filling made from sustainably sourced kapog (a fluffy white fibre from the kapog tree).
Each pillowcase is completely handmade and unique. That’s why only finished cushions are available in my online shop and cannot be pre-ordered, as each one looks a little different and I don’t know today when another beautiful linen fabric will come my way.
